Why did you choose to participate
in the ystark! Fellowship Program?
I chose to participate in the ystark! Fellowship Program after
first hearing about this opportunity at Walsh University during my
senior year. I saw the posters around campus highlighting the type
of candidates they were looking for, and quickly realized that this
would be a perfect way for me to apply my knowledge from my courses
of study, the past experience I had gained, and my overall
involvement on campus and in the community, towards my future
career. ystark! stood out to me as a ticket towards a successful
future for everything it had to offer me; allowing me to grow and
learn while having the peace of mind that my future was in good
hands.
What is your current role as a
Fellow?
Recently, since becoming a Fellow, I have been hired by the Time
Warner Cable Company (headquarters) in North Canton, OH on June 14,
2010, where I work as a Technical Service Specialist in their Tier
3 Technical Support Department.
Fun facts about you:
- I love taking advantage of the many outdoor activities that
Stark County has to offer, the parks, trails, and many events such
as First Fridays.
- Currently because I am a tenant in an apartment that only
allows goldfish, I do not have any pets. But I do have a cat that I
left with my parents back home.
- I love any Italian cuisine, however I have a special place in
my heart for my mom’s Lasagna. Anything BBQ seems to be my recent
fav!
- My parents are my greatest heroes/role models to which I have
to thank for everything I have been blessed with over the years.
They lead perfectly by their examples, and are my greatest
inspiration.
- I aspire to be in a leadership position in which I can truly
impact others around me and hopefully will be a role model to
today’s young adults for the example I set.
- I travelled to New Orleans during a mission trip with Walsh to
rebuild homes for hurricane Katrina victims. The selflessness and
overall gratitude of the many victims was truly life changing and
the entire experience gave me a different outlook on life from then
on out.
- I worked as a professional blogger for Walsh University
throughout my college years, and could be seen as one of their
student representatives in their recent publications and
advertisements on their website and throughout North
Canton.
