Jeff Day, president of SōL Harris/Day Architecture, is a dreamer…designer…builder; and we’re not just talking about his architectural skills.
If you’ve worked, lived or played around Stark County, then you’ve likely been in a SōL Harris/Day project and not realized it. On October 25th we invite you to join us in their most recent accomplishment, a green and environmentally friendly new office building complete with: a partial white roof to reflect sunlight; a partial green planted roof and specific landscaping to reduce water runoff; recycled insulation; abundant natural light on the east and south wall to lower artificial lighting and decrease electric usage; and low flow plumbing fixtures to decrease water usage.
Who is Jeff Day? He contributes his interest in architecture, sports and community involvement to his father and his love for education, as well as his Christian and family values, to his mother. Jeff graduated from University of Cincinnati with a Bachelor of Science in Architecture. Through his academic career he worked with 8 different co-ops, including international studies in England.
Shortly after graduation he spent 3 years in the United States Navy but his service didn’t stop there. Today Jeff serves with: United Way of Greater Stark County, ArtsinStark Board, Stark Development Board, and Salvation Army – Canton Advisory Board.
Inspired by Frank Lloyd Wright and enthralled with Machu Picchu, Jeff brings passion and pride to our community. We’re honored to have the opportunity to hear him speak of his career, accomplishments and words of wisdom.
Jeff has invited an up-and-coming staff member to share his own wisdoms and experiences with us as well over lunch.
SOLD OUT!!
Cost: $10 (lunch provided)
You must park at Gander Mountain across the street and cross over to the SōL Harris/Day building. Please use caution in crossing Frank Road.
